My Take
My overall opinion of this teaching tool is that it starts conversations that need to be had in this day and age. It allows students to ask questions and have an adult guide then through a diverse world. With no ads, it being picture based and simple to understand, many different students can benefit from the app.
How I Use It
This app would work great in a social studies or language arts class. It’s sparks conversations on appearance, race, gender, ethnicity and plenty of other human characteristics. This can all be applied to civil rights movement and papers on discrimination. It’s a game that requires 2 people so in a classroom, it would have to be done slowly. One player needs to be an adult or someone who can help answer the students questions.
It’s helpful that with each guess the person behind the photo has a small quote. There is also a diverse group of people with little repeats. There is little to no ads and easy to play because most of it is photos.
My only con would be that it’s more of a one on one game and harder to do with a large group. However, it can also be played by having kids in groups with one teacher assigned to them.
