My Take

One virtual reality tool specifically designed for the classroom is Unimersiv, which aims to take learning to new level. This app was made to ensure learners retain information through immersive and exciting experiences. It is the largest VR learning platform available, so it has a huge library of experiences to choose from. Users can travel back in time to ancient Rome to discover the city, journey through the human brain in all its fantastic parts, or ride along for a launch in the Mercury 7. There sheer size of these learning experiences is amazing, as many things can be discovered, and it all images have been replicated to the tiniest detail. The user can soar through, fly above, or immerse themselves in the location they are discovering. They are also accompanied by a fantastic music soundtrack, adding to the mystique, and some give you valuable information about objects as they are encountered.. As a learning tool for discovery and exploring, it can't be beat. There is no other app rivals the number or quality of experiences. However, there are a number of limitations of this app, as well. For a VR experience, it leaves a lot to be desired. There is no interaction with the environment or characters. The app itself is free, but it requires a headset to use, which may not cheap, that range anywhere from $55.00 to $500. The free experiences are not very extensive, but the premium ones only cost a few dollars per month. As far as the price is concerned, it is definitely worth it if the learner wants to uncover a visual array of information. However, if the user is looking for gameplay or fun, this is not the app for them.

How I Use It
