My Take
Tellagami is one of my top five favorite apps to use in my classroom. It is easy to use but makes the students really think about what information they should use in the project. Even though students can record their own voice, most of them use the text option for the avatar to speak. Plus, the students like to use the finished project with Aurasma to attach their project to book covers or pictures on their class bulletin board.
How I Use It
I have used Tellagami in a variety of ways. I use it to summarize information, create quick stories, and even app smash with Aurasma. There is a time / character limit to what students can "say" with the app, but I find that it forces students to be precise in what information they use. Another aspect of the app that is great for any lesson is the use of photos as the background. This allows for Tellagami to be a solid tool for analyzing almost anything from character analysis to explaining the properties of an element.
