My Take

I really like Tellagami as a teaching tool! My students were very engaged as they created their "Gamis" (animated videos). I really like the fact that you can email the link to others, so you can share your creation. However, the best part was the ability to embed the Tellagimi projects on our class blog. The down side was when we tried uploading them to You Tube, we couldn't get it to work properly. Because the videos are short, you are somewhat limited, but I still feel that Tellagami has its place in the 21st century classroom.

How I Use It

Tellagami is great for Language Arts lessons when students are doing character studies. Even students that are reluctant to speak before the class enjoy creating animations in Tellagami. It is also great when studying historical figures. Students can introduce themselves in Tellagami as if they were the historical figure. Because you can choose which background you use, it is also good for science lessons where you put a picture in the background (such as the parts of a plant), then have the student tell about the picture they are standing in front. Tellagami is also great for EL students who need experience speaking a second language.
