My Take
I loved how everything was provided in the program to make the teacher's job easier and gave me time to focus on the students and their work. I was thrilled that it required students to give and receive feedback on their work, exercising their communication skills and leading to re-iterations and critical thinking. These students were able to collaborate with others through the feedback process. I would love some additional support from the technical side of the process in the animation, recording, uploading and using various other technical programs for students to create on. Some students struggled with getting their drawings or sets uploaded.
How I Use It
I used this in my High School classroom and loved it. I used this to teach students to tell their stories and produce an animated story reel to share with their peers and parents. It broke the process down for each step so the students were set up for success and could complete the process. This innovative design provides students with an artistic medium to tell their stories creatively. For students, who need a less traditional way of expressing themselves, this gave a creative and technical outlet. I was stunned by the quality and creativity I saw my students produce.
