My Take
It takes time up front to input the words and record sentences, but once that is done they are saved year to year and can be loaded on multiple devices. The app is easy to use and works better for my class flow then having all students take a spelling test at the same pace.
How I Use It
I input our weekly spelling lists into SpellBoard. The app allows multiple users to log into the app and track their activities. Students can practice spelling words with activities such as alphabetizing, filling in missing letters, and a word search. They can practice the spelling words and take a test. Results can be emailed to the teacher.
I like giving spelling tests via this app because students who need to hear a word just once can move through the test quickly while those who need words or sentences repeated several times aren't rushed. Plus, the app grades the test for me.
