My Take
My students enjoy the articles they read. Some students ask to login to Readtheory during recess or when they are allowed to choose an activity instead of the learning platforms we use that are game- based. Readtheory also allows a differentiated reading experience with the need for me to spend hours looking for articles. This is especially helpful considering I have students at 3 reading levels (and none AT grade level). The articles have appealed to my students and they like to share facts from what they have read.

I use this with my students for independent reading.

Excellent Program!
This is a great program! I really feel like it helps students with ADHD or who have a negative opinion of reading. They are goals for the week, visual rewards/levels, and it breaks the task of reading into a small chunks done on the computer every day. I have seen results in using this! I like how the progress is tracked and is easy to read. Plus it is free to use! There is a premium option that gives you finer control over what students read, but it is not in any way required.

Read Theory MATTERS!!
Kids are motivated to increase their reading skills and boost their percentages. They often choose readtheory over another online reading program. I challenge the kids to increase the class percentage and have been giving EXTRA CREDIT this week for each quiz passed above 70%. These crucial skills help kids see the need for improvement on their reading assessments. Thank you, Read Theory!!
