My Take

The choices for question types and levels were helpful, along with audio and text reinforcement for struggling learners. It was very helpful for SLPs to have individual student data within the app itself, improving the analysis and learning plan process. One improvement could be to add speech to text for the different answer options to assist low literacy learners. Another improvement could be better graphics or possibly different voice choices.

How I Use It

This app was used with 5th and 6th grade students during speech language therapy, both one-on-one and in small groups (up to 4 students at a time). Students answer the questions generated, then the SLPs discuss with them why the answer they chose was correct or incorrect. The app is especially helpful for teaching pragmatics and reinforcing or improving social and conversational skills.
