My Take

I encourage teachers to use it. However, the quality of your course is more important than relying on simulations. Observation and debriefing are key. There's a broad variety of simulations to pick from which make testing different aspects of testing things fun.

How I Use It

This tool allows students to explore a concept after it has been introduced to them following a lecture. Once students have learned the basic mathematics of a particular concept. It is very beneficial for them to be able to discover how such a concept exists in reality. For example, I use experimental simulations after I have worked with students on the basics of chemistry. This allows the students to use the knowledge I have given them and enables them to explore their present comprehension of what they have learned.
