My Take
Pen Pal Schools offers fantastic opportunities for connecting students to content areas and to other classrooms! Being able to sign up for lessons that fit my time schedule and my curricular goals makes the platform easy and flexible to use. The variety of lesson topics are engaging for students. The responses from other pen pals around the world allows for a better understanding of the world.
How I Use It
Pen Pal Schools is an excellent way to combine curricular areas. I use the topics to build background knowledge. The lessons spark rich conversations and deeper dives into topics. Being paired with other students from around the world strengthens writing skills as well as building empathy among students.

A great tool for students of English as a Second Language to improve their language and communication skills.
This website provides students with the opportunity to gain international communication and a global perspective. They gain a comprehensive and critical understanding of perspectives by discussing different perspectives on topics with users around the world.

Creates an understanding of culture differences!
Overall, I feel there needs to be more interaction. The students were excited to see their pen pal's responses, yet many pen pals did not. There is a requirement and time limit for students to respond and many students never got a response from their pal.
