My Take

Padlet allowed me to have virtual discussions with my entire class of thirty six students. I was able to easily post discussion questions that students could respond to. My students were also able to respond to their peers and further their thinking. My students really enjoy using Padlet and often ask when we will be using it again. My only issue was trying to move around the comments so that they didn't overlap other comments. I think if I would have used a smaller group of students or created more "walls," I wouldn't have had this issue.

How I Use It

I think this could be a regularly-used tool in my classroom. I do think it is better for small groups (15 or less) to use one "wall" on padlet. The more students you have, the more crowded your wall will be, and it can be difficult to see all of the comments. I have mainly used it as a means to hold a virtual discussion/seminar. I have posted the questions and students were able to post their responses and then respond to other student comments. I have also used it as a virtual space for students to share resources when collaborating on a group project.
