My Take
There is so much to this app that makes kids want to play it. You have the superhero angle combined with the battles against other bad guys really. I love the underlying problem solving aspect to this app. There are five different games students can play which allows the apps to meet a wide range of needs within a classroom. It's just a really well developed math app.
How I Use It
I use this app during math centers. It helps your high kids extend their problem solving and then it is also great practice with math skills. My students love this app and will play it for hours if I let them.

Perfect math operation practice for superhero-loving kids!
This app will extend learning for students who have mastered basic operations and are ready for the next step. It will keep them engaged and coming back for more! I like that it deals with more than one set of numbers at a time and requires mental strategies. I feel like the graphics in this app will entice all students to attempt to work through the problems. Although the apps specifies it's for 1-4 grade, I think middle school students would find this fun and challenging as well.

Simple in Design Yet Keeps Them Engaged!
It has a superhero / graphic novel theme that is highly engaging for my students. It takes them beyond the typical rote fact practice and applies the knowledge with purpose in the game. There's only one way for kids to develop procedural fluency and speed in mathematics, and that's practice! Fortunately, there are different way to provide that practice, and this is a great one.
The app's purpose is quality practice and fluency, not corrective feedback or additional instruction - that's why I scored it low in the SUPPORT category. But that's not a criticism, it's a reflection of the design. Part of the reason it's so engaging is that it moves quickly.
