My Take
This site is an excellent teaching tool. I like the way the way the site is organized with links clearly delineated and the information categorized clearly to allow students to find specific data more quickly. I like the way this site allows for a complete solar system presentation including information and images, to be created.
How I Use It
I use this website to teach solar system creation in Earth science. The solar system video is an excellent depiction of how the solar system evolved into its present form and I use it to help students visualize the process. There is also a written timeline along with a downloadable poster that students can use for presentations. The volume of information can seem overwhelming at first, so some teacher direction on where to find information can cut down the time required by the lesson. This site can also be used to stay informed on current and planned NASA missions.
