My Take
This is a great teaching tool. However, if it were available for other phone types, then it would be even better. When students learned they couldn't use their app for their own phone, they lost interest.
How I Use It
I introduced this site to students in my Motion Graphics and Gaming class. I downloaded the App Inventor Cards and use them as self guided lessons in addition to the other lessons available in the teacher section. As a beginning app programming site, it shows students what is possible in the world of programming. I like the emulator because not every student has an android phone.
