My Take
Membean is a great resource for students anywhere from Middle School to High School. While it does what it is advertised to do well, it does not do it in a way that is engaging to students. Personally, having used other resources such as Quizlet and Flashnotes, I feel as though Membean doesn't do enough to cause students to actually want to learn the subjects at hand and feel encouraged to learn.
How I Use It
As a teacher I would use this resource exactly as intended. The issue is, with many other resources that do what Membean does better, I would find myself using apps with more engaging UI's and more games and ways to study. I would use Membean as a way to learn terms and phrases based on the subjects in the curriculum. Based on the way Membean works I would also assign students certain amounts of time to complete study sessions which I believe can be helpful for memorization and understanding.
