Good platform for reinforcing math concepts first taught in class.
Community Review for Mathletics
My Take
Many of the games offer rote practice and can be repetitive. I like that teachers can set content and specific tasks for students to practice skills. The animation and overall feel of the program is a bit flat and students quickly tire of playing. The online component allows students to challenge each other (and other students from around the world) to compete head to head. Our school has had mixed parent feedback on this aspect of the platform. Teachers can easily move students into differentiated groups to better meet their needs. Whole school enrollment makes it easy for teachers administrators to view how students are doing and areas of weakness. Getting started and making adjustments is easy.
How I Use It
Mathletics can be used to supplement and reinforce what is being taught in the classroom. Many of the games offer rote practice and can be repetitive. The whole program is aligned to Common Core.
