My Take
Math bingo looks very appealing to the students and they love earning the bingo bugs. Unfortunately, I don't feel there is enough educational value to use it in the classroom.
Students answer addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems and try to get 5 in a row on a bingo board. However, there is no real feedback on answers(the real answer is displayed at the bottom but I don't think the students even look at it.) Bingo bugs are earned by beating your previous time. Placing bugs is random as the timing aspect stops kids from really thinking about the best square to place the bug. Kids seemed more interested in earning the bugs and then playing with them, than in actually learning the math.
How I Use It
Kids are engaged and excited to use it due to the interesting graphics and bugs so it can be used for reluctant students to have them engage with math by practicing using all four operations.
