My Take

Pleasantly surprised at how the Math Common Core was used as the foundation for pre-selecting math-appropriate games of 10 short items. Those reviewed (grades 3, 4, and 5) were very interactive and provided immediate feedback. At the end of game, each item could be reviewed. Wrong responses contained solutions so understanding is immediate. Since each item had a maximum time allocation, participating students become acclimated to timed testing. An element of competitiveness is unavoidable as "best scores" are tracked.

How I Use It

There is no doubt that students will have great reinforcement from these games. Used Mangahigh.com with K-5 pre-service teachers as a technology integration resource they could consider/use in the classroom. Might actually recommend as a resource for pre-service teachers who need to review their math skills in preparation for PRAXIS II.
