My Take
Loom is an absolute lifesaver for any teacher creating content for virtual teaching or flipped classroom. With no-frills setup requirements, works on any platform: chrome OS, Windows, Mac, and Linux, as you can use it as a browser extension and saves your creations directly to the cloud where it is easy to share. Loom also allows you to download your videos for further editing or sharing in specific platforms that require you to upload the video file.
How I Use It
Loom is my go-to tool to create quick instructional videos for the flipped classroom and it is my favorite way to construct differentiated learning materials for ELL students in my class. My workflow for creating content with Loom is as follows: Curate my material, preferable as a presentation or a website, Create a rough outline/script, Record the content for the first time (don't stop even if you make a mistake), Watch the recording and make notes where to change, Record the final version and publish.
