Community Review for LightSail
My Take
I rave about Lightsail wherever I go. This product has my students totally silent and engaged in their work. Plus, I have realtime data on which students are on-task and learning. Students can see their Lexile level at the top of their screen and get really excited when the number increases and they know they are growing! They love being able to choose any book they want to read.
How I Use It
Lightsail helps me get real time, Common Core-aligned data on how my students are progressing. Since questions are embedded into texts, students don't miss any reading time. I get weekly reports on my students' progress so I am able to prioritize who to conference with. Lightsail even has a conference feature that I can use to set goals on student progress that show up on my students' dashboard so they are always able to remind themselves of what they are working on.
