My Take

It's rare to find so much material offered for free on such an accessible platform. The lesson videos are good for students who miss a lesson, flipped learning, or those who need extra instruction or review. The narration is not super exciting, but has a bit of personality instead of being just dry information. Favorite part: There are some lessons on less-traditional topics that get students engaged in unexpected ways, e.g. the "Doodling in Math" series which made my math-averse students light up in math class!

How I Use It

I use the more interesting videos (such as "doodling in math") to build interest or as a reward for good behavior during learning. I also assign students tutorial videos if they need to learn alone for various reasons, and then we review afterward to clear up whatever they didn't grasp. I love that videos can be downloaded on their ipad app, so I can use it in the classroom with no internet access.
