Community Review for iWriteWords (Handwriting Game)
My Take
Started using the free version of the app and my 3 year old son loved it. Decided to pay for the full version and it was only $2.99. Well worth the money. Has uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as numbers 0-20 and some sight words. Also has the ABC song as a reward that students can play.
How I Use It
Small group instruction. Use it for practice in handwriting and letter formation/number formation for students based on their DOMINE scores.

Handwriting the technological Way!
This app lets students practice their handwriting skills in a new way. They provide the students with a starting point and provide audio help for kids as well. This is helpful for younger students who don’t read yet. In addition they work with the students on their approximate correctness. The only downfall that I can see is that students have to start at A and work their way to Z. It would be helpful for teachers to pick which letter because while a student may struggle with K they won’t necessary need to practice C but is forced to with this program.

Great App to Work on Handwriting
This is a great handwriting app. I love that is forces the student to form the letters and numbers the correct way. The app would also be great to work on recognizing letters numbers and sight words.
The other great aspect of this app is that the students never get tired of using this app. I think the graphics and the cute little crab creature they lead around the letter helps keep them engaged.
