My Take

Overall, i-Ready is difficult to use. The lessons are not often engaging or relatable, so they aren't very interesting for kids. When my kids reached 6th grade, i-Ready got rid of the i-Ready learning games. These games were fun and a good resource. I also feel that students should be able to interact more with the lessons, other than giving basic answers. The i-Ready diagnostic is supposed to gauge what lessons to give each individual, which is better than a test that is the same for everyone. But the diagnostic often spans across multiple days and goes through other classes. The average attention span for the latest generation is very short, making it hard for kids to focus over these longer periods of time. I would say that i-Ready could be made a lot better.

How I Use It

I use it with my kids at home.
