My Take
Not only is this a great tool for higher students, it's also a great tool to show teachers how historical lessons don't need to be dull.
Gamification doesn't have to require awesome programming skills, just a plan and the right tools.
How I Use It
This is great for higher students that seek a challenge - depending on the "scene" the reading can be a bit overwhelming for anyone that's not reading at grade level (or reluctant readers).
Therefore, if you have anyone that finishes their work early, this might be a great filler without being redundant.

Fun and Interactive Primary Source Analysis!
I love this teaching tool! I like how it has the students take on the point of investigating. It makes primary source documents fun and interesting for everyone. I like how there are multitude of topics that the teacher can choose from. It would be a great cooperative learning activity.

You Be the Judge!!!
I love this site. It offers about a dozen historical cases where the students have to explore a set of questions using primary resources to decide if the previous decision made was correct. It allows the students feel as if they are taking part of history. It doesn't offer any support for students who struggle with reading (no audio). It does say that they are working on creating videos for each case so when those are up and running it will help. This site definitely would help bring fun to learning and give students an alternate way to learn about these historical events.
