My Take

When students first saw Google Earth, I used it as a way to show the locations of early explorers. Students often would hear of a place but never see where it is in reference to the world. Now student can see for themselves. Students got excited to work with Google Earth and save their tours to share with other students.

How I Use It

When I introduced students to Google Earth, I setup a timeline of the exploration of early explorers. Students could walk through the travels of these explorers. Students then began to use Google Earth to tell their own stories of explorers, settling of colonies in America, etc.
