My Take

I love that Goodreads is a student-driven app. It tailors options to students based on interest and it can help them create, visualize and maintain reading goals. This app isn't going to teach a lesson for you, but it's a wonderful tool to supplement a choice-reading classroom.

How I Use It

My students are required to read one SSR novel of choice per quarter and each time we visit the library, I am bombarded by students seeking suggestions on great books.

Unfortunately, what I may find awesome, they may not. The beauty of choice is that opens the floor to so many options that older students become indecisive.

I encourage students to download and use this app to find reading suggestions based on their personal taste and interests.
