My Take

I love it!

Yes it is marketed as a social media platform but with some teacher creativity the outcomes are limitless! Peer feedback, discussions, children supporting each other and liking each other's answers, there is a record of the communication, sharing work with other classes in the school, group communication despite social distancing, the list goes on.

I wish children could edit or delete their bubbles as often they make a grammar or spelling mistake and can't rectify it and in a learning environment this is important.

How I Use It

Safe, social media platform for children to communicate in especially during social distancing times.

Collaborative learning including peer assessment and sharing ideas.

Active learning - posing a question and children typing their answers. Teacher can see all answers including children learning at home. The answers don't diss appear so SEN and lower attaining children can use other children's answers to build on their own. They can use the discussion answers to support their written work becuase it doesn't disappear like a conversation.

Morning starters - post a daily morning starter with a positive quote, children log straight on, message any of their home learning friends then get on.
