Very engaging tool for students to become excited about writing!

My Take
This tool helps students become excited about writing and collaborating with their peers. It is easy for the teacher to set up and the options of securing the posts and comments, so that those are not published unless the teacher gives permission, eases teacher fear of students collaborating online. This tool lends itself to really help strengthen the writing process for students.
How I Use It
Students use Kidblog to respond to a prompt. The teacher can help students through the editing process by giving them feedback before the student post is published. I have also used Kidblog to allow peers to comment on one another's writing to give glows and grows in order to help with improvement in the editing process. Students have also created book trailers, posted pictures to go with the book they read, and uploaded other media to go along with their post. I have also trained teachers in using Kidblog as they wanted to use this as a parent communication tool to share what the students are doing in class.
