My Take

Great social justice site, engages students because it definitely plays on the theme of fairness and justice that are so important to kids. Some difficult themes especially with regard to civil rights issues, but so important. They also do a great job of addressing bystander vs. upstander issues today, connecting them with historical lessons.

How I Use It

I used a unit about the Holocaust. It contained excerpts from a book for students to read and then reflect on pre, during and post reading. Students were provided multiple modalities to present learning.
