My Take
The way the lessons are tailored to their skill level is great. This can help fill in some of those learning gaps so many teachers struggle with. Advanced students can work on a higher level and more challenging work. I also like that I can assign lessons to match what I am currently teaching to give all (or some) students more practice. The students like it and ask to use it!
How I Use It
My students can sign in through Clever and click on the icon to get started. They first get to pick a mood and their character, and then it will give them a pre-quiz to place them. The lessons are tailored to the student's level and give them practice and intervention in skills that are needed. This makes it great for meeting all students at the level they are on. At our school, some days are virtual, and having them use eSpark as part of their learning for the day is easy and something they actually want to do. You can also assign lessons that are aligned with what you are currently teaching if they need more practice.
