My Take
My opinion about eSpark is that it is an amazing program and all children should have access to it. Our class grew more then a full year in math using the program. By the end of the year, our children were learning multiplication and understanding it. (they are first graders) They were able to solve problems, tell time, count money, add and subtract multi-number problems with ease. This includes the special education population of the class.
How I Use It
We implemented eSpark into our first grade co-teaching classroom. The children came in each morning unpacked and logged on. The program worked. You need to give up the control and allow students to be fully emerged in the program. By the end of the year the children were taking tests and quizzes independently as well as video taping each other. It was simply amazing!
