eSpark saved me from spending countless hours looking for good apps for my classroom. My students are engaged, and eSpark often exposes them to material beyond my curriculum. I love how it differentiates for the learning needs of every child.

My Take

My biggest concern regarding iPads in my classroom was finding time to locate good, appropriate apps. Because of eSpark, I am no longer consumed with such searching.
I especially like how eSpark differentiates for every learner. Students who find school challenging gain confidence because they see a lot of success with eSpark.

How I Use It

Early on I used eSpark as a whole group. While they worked, I watched videos, and answered their questions. Once they learned how to do the videos appropriately, I started doing small group instruction and would vary the groups. Toward the end of the year I started using eSpark in centers.
Initially the videos were difficult. I teach kindergarten and some of my students misunderstood or ignored the prompt. More instruction solved this issue.
