My Take

Overall the program is adaptable to different ways of learning and easy to use. It can easily be used in a coteaching with the counselor and a general education teacher. The lessons can be extended to engage the gifted students and differentiated to meet the needs of slower learners. They are fun and engaging lesson that encourage collaboration among students or individual learning activities. Students will love it and be able to participate in discussions with peers. The program learning targets increase positive social emotional interactions.

How I Use It

It is a great tool to use in classroom guidance as well as small group. Additionally, during this time of dealing with Covid 19 it can be used in a remote format where screen sharing is allowable. There are also printable material that can be sent home so learning is not disrupted. Many of the activities and games sharpen other skills like memory and attention to detail.

A very nice website for parents and educators

I think that this resource may be used as a teaching tool to help children improve their emotional intelligence, especially who have difficulty in developing their emotional skills. However, I also find that much of information needs money and this may be a little burden for parents and educators.

Emotional ABCs Review

The variety of situations that students were exposed to were simple and helpful. By focusing on times when students might experience sadness or anger, knowing how to address the situation is something that is very important for students to know.
