Amazing digital tool with great staff support for building and sharing teacher assessments and assignments.
Community Review for Edcite
My Take
As I have mentioned , I would not feel as though my students were digitally ready for the state assessment , had it not been for Edcite. As any new program, it will take some acclimation time. The support staff for Edcite is excellent. At the beginning of my membership, I contacted the Edcite staff with various questions. They were quick to respond and help in any way. I would recommend anyone try it. To start, you can sign up and use other teachers' ready-made assignments and tests. It is definitely worth a look, as most states are heading towards the digital state assessment.
How I Use It
This site provides an excellent opportunity to prepare students for future on-line learning and yearly state assessments. You can tailor your assessments or lessons to mirror the PARCC, Smarter Balance, or AIR tests. As a language arts teacher, I am amazed at the ability to place my own content such as videos, reading passages and images side by side with my questions. You can even tag each question and lesson to the common core standards. And it grades them for you! I have been using this site for two years and would find it very difficult to live without it as a state -assessed subject teacher. My students took the AIR Ohio state assessment last year and had no difficulties with the technology portion of that assessment. They were very aware of the format, as it was an option for them to practice on Edcite.
