My Take

I think it is a good tool for reinforcing concepts. I don't think that should be the only thing that is used to teach math, but it is a good supporting tool.

How I Use It

Our district uses Dreambox as a K-1 intervention. It is very self-explanatory for the kids, and they can do it all by themselves. I can't be much help on ease of set up, because the district sends us all of our login information, so it is already set up for us. I would highly recommend disabling the "houses" or whatever they're called (or at least limiting it to one day a week) because students spend all of their time messing around in those and not practicing the content.
