My Take

It takes some getting used to when kids first start using it. They can get frustrated with the format and want to give up. I saw my students develop perseverance, which is one of the math practices. It is supposed to adapt for struggling students, but I didn't dive deep enough into it to see how that worked.

How I Use It

Our grade level assigned DreamBox lessons as math homework. It worked well to allow students to catch up on assigned lessons over the weekend. I created a DreamBox leader board and the competition was fierce as students completed lessons and mastered standards to get their name on this list.
