Dreambox is a great way for students to review and practice math concepts while discovering different ways to solve problems. Ideally it would be nice to add more than a short term and long term assignment.

My Take
I think this is a great tool to use to keep students entertained and practicing math. It's also a great data tool as well. I would like more professional development to utilize this program more. I enjoy it and will use it again.
How I Use It
I used Dreambox 30 minutes a day during Math Interventions when I was working with small groups. When my students went to computers for 45 minutes they also worked on assignments in there as well. The days that my students had computers I would switch up the math games so they didn't get bored. I went into Dreambox every 2 weeks to continue to add games. I also asked my students what they would like to have and it had to switch up so they weren't doing adding for several weeks in a row but practicing all types of different concepts. My students loved that I took their opinion into account. What I didn't enjoy was only having a short term and long term assignment. I came into a couple of different problems when I wanted to add more differentiation and I had a hard time figuring out how to do it. I do like how Dreambox gives you data on each game, the use, a preview, where each student is, and how they are doing. It really helped with data.
