Community Review for Desmos
My Take
I knew that Desmos was an amazing platform when a student talked about being a visual learner that benefitted from the colors that Desmos includes in graphing. I love that it's a flexible tool that is so inquiry driven that I used it more than classroom calculators. The sliders are amazing for student investigations and building deeper understanding. I especially love the "getting started" graphs located in the left tab.
How I Use It
Desmos is how we investigate everything from algebra basics like intercepts and slopes to more complex transformations in pre-calculus. The fact that kids can manipulate equations on their device makes it such a useful "goto" tool.

Students can visually learn the graphs that are being taught.
I like how you can zoom in or out of the graph. You can also put in any type of graph which is very useful.

great resource for graphing
I overall think this a very valuable resource as a teaching tool because it helps with visualization which can be so important for graphing. Additionally, students can add multiple coordinates and graphs and see how different variables interact.
