My Take

I like classcraft for the multitude of resources it provides- from student avatars that provide ownership in my classroom to tools that help me add whimsy and focused tasks in the classroom. The only aspect I dislike is the rigid use of "powers " that students can play that does not notify the instructor that it has been used. Several powers are locked in and uneditable, making it hard to customize for specific classrooms.

How I Use It

Ive used classcraft to manage experience for learners and to create a mini econonomy for students. It has features for managing class volume, giving quick review quizzes in the form of "boss battles" and engages learners in quests for new information rather than unconnected daily tasks. I use this to connect all of my 6th grade history classes by creating friendly competition and managing class behavior.
