My Take
It helps students get over formatting issues. It provides them a chance to write "real" scripts and storyboards without spending hours over tiny details. I heard students respond they liked how professional it seemed and how their work seemed more polished. I would agree- it allows students to create publishable work. For those more advanced, they did more. For those who struggled, they could achieve more. It was a great tool. Simple, yet complex.
How I Use It
I use this in various classes as a tool for story telling. The app and website can do scripts and storyboards, and allows for students to focus on telling a story over formatting. It's great how the app supports ALL learners by being a basic tool. There's a bunch of options, and further exploration that CAN be done, but it starts as a tool to be used over a suite to be explored. The scripts that I received this year are leaps and bounds ahead of progress compared to years I had them format their own work.
