My Take
The graphics are extremely well-done.This app is a very useful supplement, but not a primary learning tool. You basically click through the definitions and watch the animation. No way to assess knowledge. Didn't realize that clicking on the object animates it until I accidentally clicked on it. Besides that, it's pretty intuitive. Nice visuals and definitions help clarify the principles of design.
How I Use It
This could be assigned as homework, although there is no way to ensure that students actually did it. As a teacher-led lesson using a computer/projector, teachers could call up students to describe the principle then show the app animation. To extend learning, students could then describe a way that that principle is used in design in a real-life example.
