My Take
The kids love animating, and the software is scaffolded in such a way that makes it easy even for young and struggling learners. There are also built in video tutorials and lessons on how to use the software and also to give inspiration on what to use the software for.
How I Use It
I have students animate their understanding of concepts we are working on (fractions, story comprehension, etc.). I also have them animate their own stories which I pair with a program like My Awesome Publishing Company to have students create their own books. It's good for helping me assess how well students understood the concepts being taught.

Leveled interfaces for all ages and learners
I love this software, and my students do too. It takes a little bit of practice and due to working with a diverse group of learners, I did spend time on teaching the basics and making materials to help students be more independent. One thing that I loved is that every single student in my classes could participate, even if they created scribbles, they saw their product moving and enjoyed it. I used story boards to help students think about the order of their animation and the story they wanted to tell. It is great for creativity, sequencing, and drawing.
