My Take

I have numerous grade level tools that I can use to teach reading. This is different in that it allows all students to be reading on the same topic but at their own ability level. The feedback I can give them as a teacher also becomes helpful to keep them encouraged over prolonged use of the program. It can get tedious to complete the process after numerous articles.

How I Use It

Achieve 3000 is a great tool to help differentiate reading in a classroom that has a wide variety of reading levels present. It allows teachers to assign students articles to read and take through a 5 step process based on their ability level. It can be timely to start but once you have the students entered it becomes easy. It is also a great tool to allow students to use at home to get make-up points for missed in-class reading assignments.
