Zoom has been immensely helpful as a teaching tool. Virtual meetings are becoming more and more common, and Zoom is a easy and reliable source to use. One critique is that the basic version only allows a 40-45 minute session. However, a lot of universities and organizations have started providing zoom accounts for students that do not have a time limit. Another negative is if Zoom is not moderated, aspects such as cyber bulling and inappropriate comments can be made during meetings. However, hosts do have the ability to mute and remove participants that are being disruptive. I think Zoom will continue to be used in an educational setting and promotes a positive learning experience.
