StoriumEdu is a unique creative writing opportunity that takes all the fun of free writing and pairs it with a more structured game that teaches students to be creative and collaborate. I love how this app fortifies the students knowledge and skills in understanding the different aspects of storytelling, and ensuring that they are working on effective communication and collaboration in their stories. As this app also allows for each student to create their own character and work on character development while also feeling like they have personal investment in the story creation. These characters give students the motivation to stay engaged and develop the story in a way that helps develop their characters as well. This also is a great project for classroom collaboration and could be a cool opportunity for different classes and groups of students to compare their final stories and share with each other at the end of the unit.
