Good program with varying content. Love how kids can work at their own pace

I love that is has recording capabilities, and playback. I love that it focuses on the reading foundations.

Lalilo is an effective web-based program that addresses the foundational ELA needs of early learners. I have found that the data produced by my students through their work on Lalilo is very consistent with what I am Seeing in classroom work and district performance assessments. The students in my first class are generally engaged in their program and work requirements on Lalilo. At times, I do see that the kids seem to get bored or lose interest in the program. In questioning my students, I have found consistency in response: it gets boring after a while, it needs more colors and pictures, it needs songs or music, the stories are boring. I appreciate the information that I can get from the data that is collected from each students’ work. I use the data to guide some of my small group phonics instruction and, also, to look for trends in students I am considering for referral due to academic concerns. I would like to see a little more to those reports. Time on task would be very helpful. How long are they actually working? Is there a pattern of “stalling” that I could see in the data? Overall, I find Lalilo to be a solid program that addresses the decades old issue of teaching phonics without creating holes that will later become roadblocks to fluent reading. Thank

I have been using Lalilo with my Grade 1 and 2 students for 3 years and it been very engaging for all my students. I’m especially excited when my reluctant readers are achieving success and gaining a positive attitude towards literacy activities.

I wish some features were unlocked for the teachers and schools who are unable to buy the product. I wish I could assign at least one blend or assignment for free so the kids aren’t working through things they can do already just tying to get to what I need them to work on. There are many competing programs that allow the teacher to pick a single assignment, one at a time, for free for all teachers.

I enjoy Lalilo as well as my students. I can't wait to try to premium version! The only thing my students didn't like is the placement test. It is a big taxing for the lower students. Overall I think it is a great resource!

I love lalilo! I believe that because it is based on each individual student's learning needs, it is reaching them where they need it! It is filling in some of those "blanks" that students need to build that foundation and move forward!

I love it!! This really helps my students hone in on their phonics skills and gives them independent work! I would love if they created some new worlds, because my students have gotten a little frustrated they can’t move on.

Students practice foundational literacy skills on their Chromebooks during literacy stations. Because of the ten minute placement quiz, all students are working on skills that benefit each learner. AND IT'S FREE!!!!!
