Terrific as a tool to make written/textbook content come to life. I would suggest demonstrating to the class first so that they understand the way the journal works. Not best as an initial learning tool because some knowledge of the Roman civilization/housing is assumed.

Students have the opportunity to physically DO something - they learn through doing, seeing, reading, writing, and most importantly, thinking through making connections. The game can lead to students being interested in further study, and the teacher can lead further exploration into the subject.
