Tiggly Submarine would be most appropriate in a K-1 classroom as an enrichment educational activity. It might also meet the needs of special needs students in the upper primary grades. The look and feel of the game app reflects targeting to a younger audience. Tiggly Submarine provides limited practice of short vowel sounds, repeating a small number of words until the child moves on to a new activity . The game does provide the opportunity for students to play with words in a variety of ways. Simple, intuitive directions encourage and prompt students as they move through the various tasks, but there is no way to ascertain if students stay on task and do the activities. Tiggly Submarine would be a good supplemental app to add to TK, Kindergarten, or first grade language arts classroom app collections.
