I would not consider this app a teaching tool because, for the speed required of it, the knowledge already has to be embedded with the user--it is a math game that tests knowledge, not one that teaches. However, I would gladly use it as a way to review concepts previous covered inside of the classroom.

This app has a singular focus, and it achieves it well. I use it as a reward for students as they accomplish their other tasks in class. Anytime you can engage students in mental math that is fun, that's a good tool to have in your repertoire. This is all about building procedural fluency, and that's an important Common Core Math Practice Standard.
