fun and educational- gives immediate feedback
it is more of a tool to use and practice skills rather than actually teach a skill or create something.

Kahoot is a hoot!
I think this is a great tool to break the ice or see where your students stand with the content you are teaching. The formative assessment piece is great and lets me know whats going on after teaching. This serves my teaching better by allowing the students to regroup and see what they know after I teach, it also allows for some fun after teaching. Again, I dislike that some students were always the winners because they were just better readers in general, but Kahoot is really a hoot! Students can get pretty competitive! Kahoot is also great when doing Professional Development sessions for staff. You can create a game with all the teachers and make coming back to school or ending the year on a fun note! I really like showing other teachers this tool, because its so east to use and is helpful to teachers. The reports after the games are also nice.

Quick formative assessment with content creation possibilities.
I find Kahoot! to be a very useful tool. It serves to streamline formative assessment for teachers and students in order to best distribute and utilize timely feedback. When used in such a way, it stays on the enhancement end of SAMR, but when Kahoot! is put in the hands of students to create questions based on the content they have learned, find supporting visuals, and then quiz their friends, it moves up into the transformation levels.

Students Will Cheer for Quizzes
It is a great tool for making reviews fun and engaging. Although I am not a big fan of multiple choice quizzes but this is definitely is an exception, especially if you take time between questions to have discussions.

Great way to create an instant and engaging check for understanding!
This product is a great tool for a check for understanding. The students are showing their knowledge and a teacher can instantly see what the students know. Instead of a quiz though, this turns it into a game so that students stay engaged and have fun even though they are essentially taking a quiz!

Engage Your Students Through Kahoot!
This application engages all types of students - struggling learners as well as high flyers. Most kids enjoy the competition that is involved and I enjoy the fact that I can get feedback on the activity - individual questions as well as individual student answers. The fact that is web based and can be accessed on any device that has internet activity definitely makes it a winner. In addition, it can be used as a prior knowledge activity, a review game, or an exit ticket - it can fit anywhere in the classroom agenda. Once the questions are in - they are there forever; plus, it allows you to share quizzes with other teachers or explore the public database that you can use as is or edit if you see fit. Kahoot! is definitely an amazing tool that never grows old.

Trivia-style Review Game is Fun AND Helps with Retention/Discussion
Overall, Kahoot is a blast. It is fun to hear students processing out loud as they try to figure out answers and they often learn from their mistakes and/or ask questions as to why something was wrong, etc. This tool works great for drilling vocabulary or other concepts that can easily fit into a multiple choice scheme. I also love that you can use images in the question, or as prompts. For example, for students to learn the verb "barrer"/"to sweep", they are prompted with a simply image of someone sweeping. This helps eliminate the English factor altogether and to associate the word directly with what it means. I mainly use Kahoot's premade sets, but teachers can create their own content sets, which is wonderful. After making a set, you can share it with the Kahoot community (yay!) or you can keep it private. There is also a way to use Kahoot as an assessment and gather students' scores, etc. I have not tried this yet, but it definitely interests me. In closing, if your reviews need some pepping up, try Kahoot! Your students will thank you.

Looking for a way to use a game based learning tool in your classroom? Here it is!
I love Kahoot, but feel it can be over used. It is an interactive response board to get a snapshot of student learning, so it is timed. It is a very productive tool to use in the classroom and students love it. You can use it individually or in groups. Be creative and discover the many ways to use Kahoot in your classroom.

Engaging yet burdensome
Kahoot is a good review tool, however, setup can be cumbersome. It does not truly indicate a student's knowledge because some slower students may need more time and the more confident students could get off task easily because they may answer the questions quickly and then become board waiting for the timer to release the next question. Graphics are helpful when trying to differentiate for various students. It would be better if the educator could see the students answers without having to go through so many steps.
